County Line Lutheran
Located on St. Rd. 14, at the junction of St. Roads 114 and 5 in
Whitley county. According to the Whitley County website, the Lutheran
church was built in 1839 and was probably the first church building
erected in that section of the county. The church was organized in 1840
with a membership of 10 persons.
James Oliver was the first pastor. In later years the building was sold and moved from the spot.
I took these pictures on April 21, 2007, and there were very few standing stones left, and I'm assuming most of the broken stones were now missing. This index is taken from the Whitley county website.
