Rousseau-Pence Cemetery

The “Rousseau-Pence Cemetery is located off 350E just north of the Burd Road.

Joseph J. Pence wrote in the History of Whitley County, 1907: ‘Father gave half an acre of land for a cemetery, and Rousseau’s child was the first burial and it went by the name of Rousseau’s graveyard. My brother Absalom is buried there. There were about thirty persons buried there, Benjamin Harter being the last, about twenty years ago.’ p.291.”

The index I am using was taken off of the Whitley County website.
